Troubleshooting
Under no circumstances should you try to repair the unit yourself, as this will invalidate the warranty. If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the unit for repair.
Troubleshooting for HDD media player/recorder
TV no response
Make sure that TV is powered on, and is in Video mode;
Make sure that AV cable is connected properly;
Make sure that the unit is correctly set up in Video mode.
No sound or bad sound
Make sure that audio cable is connected properly;
Check whether the unit is in MUTE mode;
Check whether the volume is set to the minimal level;
Make sure that the audio output setting is correct.
No image or bad image
Make sure that video cable is connected properly;
Make sure that the color type of the unit and TV are matched.
The unit cannot be connected to PC
Make sure that the unit is powered on;
Make sure that USB cable is connected properly;
Make sure that HDD is installed properly.
Remote control does not work
Make sure that the battery of remote control is installed properly;
Make sure that the battery is in good condition;
Check whether remote control is too far from the unit, or control angle is not proper, or there is block between remote control and the unit.
Keys don't work properly
In order to activate the reset, unplug the power supply cord for 10 seconds.
"No Signal" displayed on TV when you use CS-T60R/CS-T80R
As the system is set to automatically enter Video In mode, your TV will display "No Signal" if there is no AV source connected to this unit(no AV-in signal). If you want to access the internal HDD or external USB device only, Press HOME to access the Guide Menu or Press REC List/Browser directly on the remote control. If you want to access the external AV source(like DVD player, DVB), make sure your external AV source works properly and the connection is secured.
No recorded titles displayed when connected to PC when you use CS-T60R/CS-T80R
The recorded titles are stored in "Recording Disc" area which cannot be seen through PC connection mode. To read them through PC, you need to firstly copy them from "Recording Disc" area to "FAT32 partition"
Press "REC List", select the "Title Edit"tab.
In the Title List menu, press UP or DOWN on the remote control to select the title you want to copy.
Press "OK" to access the edit option menu. Select "Copy to FAT32 partition". The titles will be copied to a folder named "rec" under the root menu of "FAT32 partition"of the internal HDD. You can see this folder through the browser of HDD recorder or through PC connection mode. |
